SAPP will hold static protest to any proposed commercial development at the High Court and State Library site

KOTA KINABALU, July 1, 2012: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) will be holding a static protest at Taman Chong Thain Vun here on Tuesday to urge the State Government to ensure the site of the High Court Building, former City State Library and City Hall office will remain for public usage once it is vacated.

SAPP to UPKO: Quit BN Over RCI Issue

KINABALU, March 20, 2012: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) advised UPKO to quit Barisan Nasional (BN) because the ruling coalition undoubtedly would not set up the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to probe the huge number of illegal immigrants in Sabah.

SAPP Vice President Japiril Suhaimin said UPKO have to take the drastic action because there is no doubt that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak would KOTA not entertain calls to establish the RCI as it could backfire UMNO, the back bone of BN.

Doubtful Federal Will Set Up RCI

KOTA KINABALU, 15 March 2012: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) is doubtful that the Federal Government will set up the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants in Sabah.

Information Chief Chong Pit Fah said there has been no sign that the Federal Government would set up the RCI despite being pressed by many quarters here including SAPP.

Why no announcement on RCI?

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 19, 2012: The people of Sabah were frustrated when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak did not make any announcement with regards to the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants in the State.

Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Deputy President Datuk Eric Majimbun said the no announcement on the RCI showed that the Federal Government being nonchalant to the wants of genuine Sabahans here.

SAPP's Repeated Calls for RCI

SAPP had made the call for the setting up of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Sabah's Illegal immigrant problem to the Federal authorities to clear doubts in the minds of Sabahans as to the unusual population increase in the number of Malaysians in Sabah.

Set Up RCI Before Issuing New MyKADs

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) proposed that issuance of new MyKad to be frozen until the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) is set up and conduct a cleaning process on ICs issued through the Project IC.

In this respect, SAPP Information Chief, Chong Pit Fah said the National Registration Department (NRD) should stop the exercise that started this year to change the present MyKad with a newer version.
