Yong Teck Lee: "This is my promise to you, that our struggle continues and I will always be by your side"...."Trust and integrity of the leaders are fundamental to the future of a country or a government or, in our case, SAPP as a serious political party of the future"

--------------

This is the start, not the finish of our journey

SAPP president Yong Teck Lee accepts his first electoral defeat in 8 outings, and vows to continue his 'Sabah for Sabahan' struggle.

"Yes, this is my first defeat in Batu Sapi. But our party values number six as it means 'resilience'. You fall, and you get up again,"

"You will fight and fight until you win, until you achieve autonomy for Sabah and a better deal for Sabah."

Greed, stupidity and third world mentality

Amde Sidik (Mar 2, 2010)
Country's politics really is volatile at the moment. I'm referring to what happening in Peninsula between Opposition group, in particular PKR and UMNO. The jumping boat is on going and going on as well!

I'm pretty sure this game is going to stay for a while. This is what I've been saying in Stay Focused ? lots of temptation out there. Will you, if you're a YB, for all what you've been seen struggling for, work very hard with the group of friends, talking about good things for many thousands of hours trying to win your voters' hearts, and now turning 180 degrees doing exactly the opposite?

Now the slurs and bad mouthing on each other, unimaginable before now becomes breakfast ritual. I just wonder where do these people get the heart and the gut to do it? As a naive person I just can't imagine.

If this is the kind of politics that I'm going to be dragged into I should by now taking a very deep breath in a window overlooking a spacious garden or on top of a hill.

This isn't healthy politics at all but greed, stupidity and third world mentality. I wonder again how many of those who now look physically smart, decently dressed, nice frame of glasses and what not, and were not because of their status as PKR's YBs they were no way near to get where they are now enjoying!

Mind you these are also the people who talked highly about morality, religious piousness and named any angel's characters we can think of.

Big and important lesson is for any SAPP's potential YBs.

Why this is happening?

In short, my view is politicians like this aren't really thinking of politics as their bread and butter, a profession that they want to live and die for let alone fighting for and represent the people who voted for them but politic as a means of achieving something, they are now at the peak where they think the right time to strike when the impact and the reward would be at the maximum, that must be?

Majority of the politicians that now are jumping boat is influenced by financial rewards, which are readily available by UMNO. No talking required ?any 10-year school kid would understand what actually is happening in our country.
