Selesaikan pembinaan Pusat Giat Mara Tenom

TENOM, Jun 29, 2011: Ahli Parlimen Tenom dan Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (Adun) Melalap diminta mengambil pendekatan bagi menyelesaikan pembinaan Bangunan Pusat Giat Mara bersebelahan SMK Tenom yang pembinaannya terbengkalai sejak 2004.

Naib Ketua Pemuda Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP), Rudy Sulaiman Mairi ketika menghubungi Utusan Borneo menyifatkan pembinaan infrastruktur institusi pembangunan insan yang terbengkalai itu sangat merugikan rakyat di sini kerana kalangan pelatih seolah-olah dibiarkan terus menumpang di salah sebuah blok Pusat Kebudayaan Murut yang tidak mempunyai kemudahan perkuliahan dan perbengkelan yang lengkap.

"Timbalan Menteri bagi kementerian yang berkaitan sudah melawat tapak bangunan yang terbengkalai, jaminan juga sudah diberikan untuk menyelesaikan perkara itu. Apakah masalahnya sekarang? Adakah kerana tidak ada tindakan lanjut dari wakil rakyat di Tenom untuk menghubungi pihak berkaitan?," ujar Rudy yang juga Ketua Pemuda SAPP Melalap.

TERBENGKALAI  blok bangunan Giat Mara ketika lawatan Datuk Hassan pada Januari 2010Rudy seterusnya meminta pihak Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) meninjau penyebab projek itu terbengkalai dan seterusnya mengambil tindakan perlu bagi memastikan tidak berlaku ketirisan dalam penggunaan wang rakyat ketika projek itu mula dilaksanakan.

Ahli Parlimen Tenom, Datuk Raime Unggi dan Adun Melalap, Datuk Radin Malleh belum dapat dihubungi untuk memberikan penjelasan mengenai persoalan tersebut.

Pada Januari 2010, Timbalan Menteri Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah (KKLW), Datuk Hassan Malik dilaporkan telah melawat tapak terbengkalai itu dan telah menjanjikan peruntukan tambahan RM1 juta yang diperolehi dari tabung Mara dan Giat Mara negeri-negeri lain bagi menyiapkan bangunan itu.

"Disebabkan RMK-9 sudah berada di penghujung, kita tiada cara lain lagi untuk mendapatkan peruntukan tambahan selain meminta Mara dan Giat Mara lain memotong sedikit peruntukan mereka untuk disalurkan ke pusat ini," demikian Hassan dipetikan sebagai berkata.
