Pemuda Tawau: Murut Kalabakan diusir

KENANGAN… Kursus melibatkan 20 Pemimpin Pemuda dan Mudanita dari Parlimen KalabakanTAWAU, Ogos 2, 2011: Baru-baru ini Pemuda SAPP bersama SabahTV telah membuat penggambaran di kawasan Kg. Kalabakan dimana beberapa lokasi hasil peninggalan sejarah nenek moyang suku kaum Murut Kalabakan juga telah musnah diraduh oleh jentolak penerokah sawit.

Menurut pengerusi bertindak Kg. Kalabakan Raili Kahal, sebelum ini ibubapa mereka dalam tahun 70an-80an tidak begitu faham tentang pemilikan tanah secara bergeran kerana pada ketika itu, syarikat balak yang beroperasi sama ada milik konsesi Yayasan Sabah atau swasta tidak mengganggu orang kampung malah ada menyediakan pekerjaan kepada orang kampung dalam sektor pembalakan.

Masalah mula timbul sejak akhir-akhir ini disebabkan oleh peneroka sawit mendakwa syarikat mereka telah memiliki tanah yang diduduki oleh orang kampung dan seterusnya memberi notis untuk mengusir mereka.

Namun demikian, penduduk kampung yang majoritinya dari suku kaum Murut Kalabakan masih menaruh harapan terhadap Kerajaan Negeri terutamanya Ketua Menteri Sabah Datuk Musa Aman, agar dapat membantu mereka mendapatkan kembali tanah adat mereka selaras dengan slogan "Rakyat Didahulukan".

Dokumentari pendek "Murut Kalabakan Diusir – The Making" boleh diikuti melalui Sabahtv.net dan dokumentari penuh dijangkakan siap pada pertengahan bulan Ogos ini.

Terdahulu Pemuda SAPP Tawau yang diketuai oleh Chang Vun Ping telah mengadakan Kursus singkat pemantapan kepimpinan bersama pemimpin Pemuda terpilih dari Kg. Kalabakan, Serudung dan Tanjung Batu Laut Tawau.

Turut hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Ahli Majlis Tertinggi SAPP Kenneth Goh dan Exco Pemuda SAPP Pang Thien Fook.
