BN punca ramai belia menganggur

KOTA KINABALU, 11 September 2012: Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) berkata jumlah pengangguran dikalangan belia yang semakin meningkat berpunca daripada kegagalan dasar ekonomi Barisan Nasional (BN).

Ketua Pemuda SAPP Edward Dagul berkata, puluhan ribu belia Sabah yang berhijrah ke Singapura dan Semenanjung untuk mencari pekerjaan adalah kerana kekurangan pekerjaan di Negeri ini walaupun BN telah melancarkan Koridor Sabah.

"Mana sudah Koridor Pembangunan Sabah yang kononnya menyediakan banyak pekerjaan kepada rakyat Sabah? siapa yang isi kekosongan ini?

"Mana sudah janji di tepati BN? Hari ini terlalu ramai belia Sabah menganggur termasuk para graduan lepasan universiti," katanya.

Beliau berkata, pengangguran di Sabah yang meningkat berpunca daripada kegagalan BN menyediakan pekerjaan yang sesuai kepada para belia.

Katanya, semua angka yang disiarkan dalam akhbar tentang kejayaan menampung pekerjaan di Koridor Pembangunan Sabah tidak selari dengan apa yang benar-benar berlaku di industri berkenaan.

Edward berkata, Koridor Pembangunan Sabah tidak menjaga kepentingan rakyat Sabah tetapi hanya menjaga kepentingan segelintir pihak tertentu sahaja.

Katanya, Menteri Sains, Teknologi dan Inovasi Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus Ongkili selain daripada merayu Kerajaan Singapura supaya menarik balik atau menyemak semula keputusan melarang peribumi lelaki bawah 35 tahun dari Sabah dan Sarawak daripada bekerja di Republik itu harus melihat masalah pengangguran di Sabah terlebih dahulu.

Menurut Edward, belia Sabah terpaksa berhijrah kerana peluang pekerjaan ditempat sendiri terlalu sedikit.

"Saya nasihat Maximus mendapatkan statistik dari Timbalan Ketua Menteri selaku Menteri Teknologi Maklumat dan Sumber Manusia Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai tentang jumlah pekerja tempatan yang mendapat manfaat daripada berbagai sektor di Koridor Pembangunan Sabah.

"Dasar ekonomi Sabah BN gagal mengatasi masalah pengangguran belia di Sabah," katanya.

Edward juga berkata, SAPP menggesa Kerajaan Persekutuan merayu kepada Kerajaan Singapura agar menarik balik larangan terhadap pekerja peribumi lelaki bawah 35 tahun dari Sabah dan Sarawak daripada bekerja di republik itu.

"Singapura mempunyai sebab tertentu apabila mengambil keputusan melarang peribumi lelaki bawah 35 tahun dari Sabah dan Sarawak daripada bekerja di republik itu, namun SAPP berpendapat bahawa Kerajaan Pusat harus merayu supaya ianya dibuat secara kes demi kes," katanya.
