Setiap rakyat Malaysia berhutang RM20 ribu

KOTA KINABALU, September 15, 2012: Ahli Parlimen Sepanggar Datuk Eric Majimbun berkata setiap rakyat Malaysia dibebani hutang sebanyak RM20,000.

Eric selaku Timbalan Presiden Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) berkata, angka itu diperolehi ketika sesi perdebatan pada sidang Dewan Parlimen Jun lepas.

"Kerajaan Persekutuan berhutang sebanyak RM468 bilion dan ini bermakna setiap seorang daripada 28 juta rakyat Malaysia dibebani hutang sebanyak RM20,000.

"Ini juga membawa maksud bahawa apabila seorang bayi dilahirkan maka kanak-kanak itu juga dibebani hutang sebanyak RM20,000 setiap seorang," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian pada majlis ceramah "Masa Depan Sabah" di Kepayan di sini, malam kelmarin.

Hadir sama, Presiden SAPP Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee, Penasihat parti yang juga bekas Menteri Kewangan Sabah Datuk Mohd Noor Mansoor, Timbalan Presiden merangkap Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Likas Datuk Liew Teck Chan dan Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perhubungan Kawasan (CLC) Kepayan Chong Pit Fah.

Turut hadir, Timbalan Presiden Tuan Haji Amde Sidik, Setiausaha Agung Datuk Richard Yong, Bendahari Agung Dullie Marie, ADUN Luyang selaku Ketua Wanita Melanie Chia, Naib Presiden Datuk Wong Yit Ming, Naib Presiden Jaafar Ismail, Ketua Pemuda Edward Dagul dan para pemimpin lain.

Mohd Noor (kanan) berkata, jumlah hutang itu menunjukkan Kerajaan Persekutuan pimpinan Barisan Nasional (BN) tidak cekap dalam hal pengurusan kewangan.

Beliau yang memegang jawatan sebagai Menteri Kewangan Sabah selama sembilan tahun dari 1976 seterusnya berkata, ketidakcekapan BN itu boleh memudaratkan rakyat Malaysia suatu hari nanti.

Sebelum itu, Jaafar dalam ucapannya berkata, Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak tidak pernah memenuhi janji terutama sekali tentang pembangunan untuk Sabah.

"Ketika saya menjadi Pegawai Daerah Semporna satu ketika dahulu, Najib pernah berjanji akan membina jambatan yang menghubungkan Pulau Bum-Bum di Semporna dengan tanah besar Sabah tetapi janji itu dimungkiri," katanya.

Katanya, Kerajaan Persekutuan pimpinan BN juga mungkiri janji tentang pembinaan jalan raya dalam daerah Beaufort.

Beliau yang juga pernah memegang jawatan sebagai Pegawai Daerah Beaufort berkata, kerajaan BN sering berjanji akan membina jalan raya baru dan memperbaiki jalan raya sedia ada dalam daerah itu tetapi dimungkiri.
