SAPP tampil hulur bantuan kepada penduduk terjejas pertempuran

LAHAD DATU, Mac 8, 2013: Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) tampil ke hadapan menghulurkan bantuan makanan dan minuman kepada para penduduk kampung yang terjejas akibat pertempuran diantara pasukan keselamatan dengan penceroboh dari Filipina di Kampung Tanduo dekat sini.

Bagaimanapun, bahan makanan dan minuman itu tidak dapat disampaikan kepada para penduduk yang kini ditempatkan di Dewan Embara Budi dan Dewan Fajar Harapan kerana tidak mendapat kebenaran dari pihak berkuasa.

"SAPP telah menghubungi pelbagai pihak namun makanan dan minuman itu tidak dapat disampaikan.

"Pihak berkuasa memberitahu bahawa orang luar termasuk wartawan tidak dibenarkan memasuki pusat perlindungan itu atas faktor keselamatan," kata Naib Presiden SAPP Datu Suaib Datu Mutalib.

Katanya, SAPP berharap pihak berkenaan dapat membantu agar bantuan makanan dan minuman itu dapat disampaikan kepada para penduduk yang terjejas itu.

"Kami ingin tahu pihak yang harus dihubungi agar bantuan makanan dan minuman ini dapat disampaikan kepada para penduduk yang terjejas itu," katanya.

Beliau berkata, SAPP bertindak menghulurkan bantuan itu setelah mendapat tahu bahawa para penduduk di pusat perlindungan itu mengalami masalah kekurangan bekalan makanan dan minuman.

Katanya, SAPP bimbang kanak-kanak terutamanya bayi tidak mendapat sumber makanan yang diperlukan seperti susu dan susu tepung ekoran situasi yang tidak diingini itu.

Katanya, SAPP telah menyediakan banyak bekalan susu dan susu tepung disamping air mineral dan makanan agar para penduduk terutamanya kanak-kanak dan bayi mendapat bekalan yang mencukupi bagi tempoh tertentu.

Hadir mengiringi konvoi bantuan makanan dan minuman itu antaranta, Ahli Parlimen Tawau Datuk Chua Soon Bui, Naib Presiden SAPP serta Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perhubungan Kawasan (CLC) Tungku - Datu Suaib Mutalib, Pengerusi CLC Lahad Datu Wong Yu Chin, Ahli Majlis Tertinggi Yong Chong Kim dan para pemimpin serta ahli-ahli SAPP.
