Nazri jejas ekonomi Sabah

KOTA KINABALU, November 24, 2014: Kenyataan Menteri Pelancongan Persekutuan Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz bahawa beliau hanya 'bercakap benar' bahawa Sabah tidak selamat untuk dilawati jelas berjaya merosakkan lagi ekonomi Sabah, terutamanya sektor pelancongan.

"Sementara Kementerian Dalam Negeri yang bertanggungjawab untuk keselamatan Sabah, telah gagal untuk melindungi pantai timur Sabah, Kementerian Pelancongan Persekutuan kini mewujudkan tragedi berganda kepada Sabah dengan menyiarkan kepada seluruh dunia bahawa Sabah tidak selamat.

"Malangnya, menteri ini telah menyatakan keraguan yang serius terhadap keselamatan bukan hanya di Pantai Timur tetapi di seluruh Sabah," kata bekas Ketua Menteri Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee.

Yong yang juga presiden Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP) berkata untuk menghadapi serangan terbuka terhadap kegagalan teruk Menteri Dalam Negeri oleh Menteri Pelancongan di Parlimen, "perkara terhormat untuk Menteri Dalam Negeri sekarang ialah meletak jawatan untuk bertanggungjawab terhadap kegagalan kementeriannya."

Untuk Menteri Pelancongan Persekutuan, beliau turut melakukan kecuaian tugas dengan menyeru Ketua Polis Negara, Persatuan Ejen Pengembaraan dan Pelancongan Malaysia dan Menteri Pelancongan Sabah untuk pergi sendiri ke China dan bertemu dengan media China, katanya.

"Pada dasarnya, menteri ini mengatakan bahawa beliau menolak atau gagal untuk melaksanakan tugasnya. Oleh itu beliau harus meletak jawatan serta merta," kata Yong.

"Tetapi apa yang kita saksikan ialah kerajaan persekutuan mengecewakan Sabah," katanya.
