Harris silap kaitkan Yong dalam kerugian SAS

KOTA KINABALU, Ogos 20, 2015: Ketua Penerangan Parti Maju Sabah (SAPP),Chong Pit Fah pada Rabu berkata bekas Ketua Menteri Tan Sri Harris Salleh sekali lagi silap kerana membabitkan presiden partinya, Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee dalam kerugian Saham Amanah Sabah (SAS).

Beliau berkata Harris harus mendesak kerajaan Sabah menerbitkan satu kertas putih untuk menyelesaikan isu itu.

"Harris sekali lagi silap dalam mendakwa bahawa transaksi antara Warisan Harta berhubung saham North Borneo Trading menyebabkan ramai pelabur hilang simpanan mereka sebanyak kira kira RM300 juta.

"Perkara seperti itu tidak berlaku," katanya merujuk kepada skandal Saham Amanah.

Harris pada Selasa lepas mendakwa harga saham Saham Amanah Sabah jatuh dengan ketara kepada RM5.40 daripada tawaran awal permulaan (IPO) sebanyak RM31.50, apabila Warisan Harta membeli tiga juta daripada saham North Borneo Trading pada 1998.

Pembelian itu menyaksikan kerugian lebih RM300 juta, dana yang kebanyakannya datang daripada simpanan pelabur yang merupakan penduduk bandaraya.

Harris berkata ia berlaku ketika Yong menjadi Ketua Menteri.

Chong mengingat, terdapat satu perdebatan antara Harris dan Yong pada Oktober 2013, di mana Harris nampaknya puas hati dengan jawapan Yong bahawa tiada kerugian dialami oleh pelabur dalam isu saham Warisan Harta North Borneo itu.

Menurut Chong,ia adalah,respon Harris apabila.Yong menunjukkan keratan akhbar tentang perbicaraan kes fitnah antara beliau dan bekas Timbalan Ketua Menteri Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai terhadap skandal itu.

"Demi kepentingan kebenaran, SAPP juga menggesa satu kertas putih dibuat untuk mendedahkan fakta mengenai isu itu dan isu Saham Amanah Sabah itu tetapi kerajaan enggan melakukannya atas sebab-sebab yang hanya diketahui mereka.

"Malah, Dr Yee yang mendakwa mempejuangkan topik itu selepas menyelidik isu tersebut dengan menyeluruh semasa sembilan tahunnya dalam Kabinet Sabah juga senyap, jelas sekali sebab beliau mendapati tiada apa apa untuk membabitkan Yong," katanya.
