SAPP president Yong Teck Lee accepts his first electoral defeat in 8 outings, and vows to continue his 'Sabah for Sabahan' struggle.

"Yes, this is my first defeat in Batu Sapi. But our party values number six as it means 'resilience'. You fall, and you get up again,"

KOTA KINABALU, Jan 17, 2012: It started as early as 6:00 AM this morning for Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) president Datuk Yong Teck Lee and entourage in their Chinese New Year walkabout beginning at Foh Sang shoplots in Luyang, then later to Lido Market /shops and to the KK Central Market in Segama, Kota Kinabalu.

Chinese New Year Greeting and Invitation cards were distributed during the walkabout reminding the people to come to SAPP’s Chinese New Year Open House on 24 January 2012 (2nd Day of Chinese New Year) in SM Kian Kok School Hall from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Yong and his SAPP team were warmly greeted by the people during their walkabout. During their stop at the KK Central Market, the hawkers there complained of holes and cracks on the top floor. Although the complaints were brought to DBKK, so far no action was taken by the authority.

Another complaint by Foh Sang open market hawkers of no proper water exit causing stagnant water accumulation on the floor forcing them to stand on dirty water while doing their business.
