SAPP Chinese New Year open house

KINABALU, Jan 25, 2012: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) yearly Chinese New Year
open house event attracted thousands of visitors from all walks of life.
This eventful occasion marks SAPP's welcoming of the lunar year of the Water
Dragon.
Open house which was held on the second day of Chinese New Year (24 January 2012
at Kian Kok School, Likas) was organized by SAPP's Deputy President Datuk Liew Teck Chan, who is
also its Likas CLC chairman and Likas State Assemblyman.
As SAPP president Datuk Yong Teck Lee said while we send off the shy rabbit, we welcome the dragon.
"Dragon symbolises power
and greatness. Therefore, it is with high hopes that the people of Sabah look
forward to the return of power and greatness to the people of Sabah in this year
of the water dragon, coinciding with the general elections that is most likely
to be held this lunar year. It is for this reason of economic prosperity for the
people, greatness for Sabah and people power that SAPP has launched its
"Economic Plan for Sabah" and "Land Reforms" that will directly and effectively
benefit Malaysians in Sabah. The economic plan and land reforms will serve to
uplift the socio-economic status of our people so that our people, especially
the young generation, are sufficiently empowered to face the challenges of the
future," a Xin Chun message from Yong, who hinted that a General Election is
looming around the corner.
