SAPP supports FSM on cabotage

Kota Kinabalu, July 15, 2010: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Treasurer-General Datuk Wong Yit Ming echoed the Federation of Sabah Manufacturers (FSM) call on the Federal Government to abolish unfair shipping policies contained in the cabotage policy.

Wong also said SAPP fully supports FSM and SHAREDA in urging the government to lift the cabotage policy which is unfair and unjust to the people of Sabah.

"This not only affect the Sabah's coastal shipping industry but also the people of Sabah as a whole. Cabotage policy has caused the higher price of goods here.

"The BN government 'trying to help' Sabah (From the richest state into one of the poorest states in Malaysia) in guaranteeing that prices of goods will be same for all states in Malaysia is just one of the empty promises made...(In the Chinese news) ...more
