BN Manifesto a political gimmick and superficial

TAWAU, April 24, 2013: SAPP criticized the BN manifesto as a political gimmick to "woo" the people of Sabah. It is superficial , lack of sincerity and political will to resolve the imminent problems and issues that the people of Sabah have been facing. It is another "empty promise" to mislead the people of Sabah. The long over due unresolved issues and problems faced by the people, which BN promised to look into were not included in the BN manifesto. This included the high prices of goods in Sabah, illegal immigrants, Natives customary Rights on land, the security and saftety problems and sovereignity rights of the people.

Datuk Chua Soon Bui who is the candidate for Tawau Parliament said it is another "Empty Cheque" and "Empty promise" to cheat the people in Sabah.

She asked why the BN manifesto doesn't include the "cabotage policy", why there is no clear policy on how BN is reducing the prices of goods especially people are burdened with high and especially uneven prices of rice, as compared to west Malaysia. The high prices of goods have been very unfair and burden to the people especially in the rural areas for the past 20 years.

She said from the manifesto, BN has no clear pollicy to resolve the illegal immigrants problem, there is no rectification policy on the RCI report of "project IC" as agreed by the ex-PM< Tun Mahathir, the ownership of MY Kad by illegals and instant citizenship is the utmost serious implication on our sovereignty.

She said the people has suffered long enough on the land grab from the natives (NCR) , despite of reports by the Suhakam to the government and parliament, no executive policies were taken to compensate or return the land to the natives. BN continues to give false impressions that BN is implementing land reform policies to protect NCR.

Since the government has reported that the ammendment to land ordinance 1930, (76) , the NCR land would no more exist impling that all the natives of age 90 years are no longer have the rights to own natives land under NCR.

She said When SAPP has the mandate fro the people on 5/5 to form government, SAPP promised that all the unfair NCR policies would be revoked, the NCR rights would be restored to protect NCR lands rights. No individuals will be allowed to abuse their power on land grab especially NCR land.

SAPP also promised autonomy to the state of Sabah, extend the land title from 99 years to 999 years, to implement realistic policies to resolve people's problems, to provide conducive environment for business sectors and not to burden the people any further.
