2010 Jan 4 - Chief Minister on Leave?

Chief Minister on Leave?

KOTA KINABALU, 4 Jan 2010: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) seeks further clarification from the Chief Minister on his supposed "away on leave" stint.

SAPP as well as the rakyat of Sabah were left in the dark on the actual whereabouts of the CM during the Christmas period.

SAPP Information Chief, Chong Pit Fah, said his counterpart from PBS, Datuk Johnny Mositun, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Sabah Assembly had revealed that Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman had gone on leave during the Christmas.

He quipped that if it were not for the revelation from Datuk Johnny Mositun that the Chief Minister was away on leave, as reported in the local dailies 4th January 2010, on the 25th December and only back in time for Mositun's open House on 27th December 2009, everybody would be none the wiser.

"When was the CM on leave? There seemed to have been no announcement that the CM was on leave. If it was an official leave, then question which springs to mind is who was the acting CM when Datuk Musa was on leave?"

Chong added that while it may seem petty to some but it is of great importance to the rakyat. The normal and proper practice for any heads of government to announce their official leave, as is practiced by the Sarawak CM and other Menteris Besar or even the Prime Minister.

Or maybe Sabah was actually left without a CM during the period that the CM "away on leave"? he asked.
