Foo: Hidden agenda behind SAS issue
Kota Kinabalu, Aug
7, 2010: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) thanks PBS
Supreme Councillor and Kapitan Chin Tek Ming who challenged Datuk Yong
Teck Lee to reveal the Umno leaders involved in the SAS losses. This
challenge was reported in the local Chinese newspaper today.
Its Assistant Secretary-General, Foo Fook Ming, said that Chin made a new
relevation by mentioning Umno leaders were involved in the local media,
should ask Minister Yee, who is the best person to know who were involved.
"Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai also revealed that he has information with the SAS
board in the recent state assembly, so I believe he has all the facts
about the SAS losses and those involved. Why did PBS strongly object to
the SAS White Paper motion? Who are they protecting, Yong or the real
culprits?
"To be fair to investors of SAS, Yee and the other PBS leaders should make
a report to MACC or to other relevant authorities without further ado.
"Yee, Herbert, Johnny Mositun, Chin Tek Ming and PBS leaders kept on
accusing and pointing their fingers at Yong ONLY for all the SAS losses
but sinisterly objected to its White Paper motion.
"I could see none other than a hidden agenda…Yee and Chin know that SAS
official documents cannot be revealed by any individual to the public
because of the Official Secrets Act (OSA). Only the government and
assembly have the power to disclose these documents through a White Paper
report.
"More than half of the assembly YBs are from UMNO. Some of the UMNO YBs
have been very noisy in the assembly. But during the debate in the
assembly on the SAS motion, why none of the UMNO YBs said anything? Only
YBs from PBS and Gerakan did the barking. Even a kindergarten kid can
guess why but lawyer Kapitan Chin Tek Ming does not know. He should ask
his master none other than Minister Datuk Dr. Yee Moh Chai." |
