Tenom, Jan
28, 2020: SAPP Melalap and Kemabong have urged the Water Department to act on
complaints by the people here about the shortage and poor quality of water
supply over the past several months.
"Everyone in the district is affected by these problems which have caused
chronic diseases to some. It is time for the Government to take measures
to resolve the problems," said SAPP Deputy President, Jimmy Jawatah.
Jimmy, who is also the Chairman of the party's CLC for Melalap and

Among the requests contained in the memorandum are:

shortage in the district that has burdened the people for months.
- The Government should ensure that only clean water is supplied to the
public to ensure the safety and health of consumers.
- The Government should seriously listen to the voice of the people and
give special attention to the issues affecting them, in line with the
Prime Minister's 1Malaysia concept of "People First, Performance Now".
Meanwhile, District Officer, Siriman Basir, assured that the memorandum
would be tabled in the next meeting of the district's development and
