SAPP State-level Harvest Festival Celebration
Kota Kinabalu, May 23, 2009: SAPP State-level Pesta Kaamatan will be
held in Kg Saupi, Nabawan on May 23 at 12.30pm.
To be officiated by its President Datuk Yong Teck Lee, the
highlights will be the Unduk Ngadau, Tapai tasting competition,
sports for children and traditional activities.
SAPP members and members of the public are invited to attend the
event.

Harvest Festival (Pesta Kaamatan) is an annual event symbolizes its
policy of a non-racial party...a party of all races for Malaysians.
Pesta Kaamatan Beauty
Pageant was held on May 2, 2009 (Sat) at Kg Bunsut, Telipok which was organized by the
SAPP KK Zone.
The event was
officiated by SAPP president Datuk Yong Teck Lee.
According to Yong,
the SAPP State level Pesta Kaamatan Beauty Pageant "Unduk Ngadau"
competition will be held in Nabawan, Keningau.

Yong:SAPP will
play role to strengthen Kaamatan
KOTA KINABALU: SAPP as a multi-racial party will continue to uphold
tradition to strengthen the Kaamatan (Harvest) Festival in the
State, said its President Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee.
He said that the festival has long been indentified as a celebration
that was able to foster relationship among the multi-racial people
in Sabah.
"As a multi-racial party for all people, irrespective of religion
and race, SAPP never forgets this one very important celebration in
Sabah. Malaysians of all races in the State are also joining in the
celebration."
"This harmony shows that the people in State continue to respect
each other," he said at the Pesta Kaamatan Celebration for SAPP Zone
Kota Kinabalu in Kampung Bunsut, Telipok near here Sunday.
Also present were Deputy President cum Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric
Majimbun, Vice President Don Chin, Information Chief Chong Pit Fah,
Wanita chief cum Luyang Assemblywoman Melanie Chia and local
community leaders.
Yong said SAPP would be celebrating the party's state level Pesta
Kaamatan in Nabawan, Keningau end of this month.
The highlight of the celebration was the crowning of the Unduk
Ngadau for SAPP zone Kota Kinabalu, which was won by Tracy Julius,
while Jessica A. Sambuling in second place and Velly Dingle taking
third place.
Presenting the prizes were Yong's wife, Dating Seri Stella Yong.
As for the Bintang Kaamatan (singing competition), Veronica Asang
emerged champions, while Victiorlius Kayan and Vera Kulando, took
second and third place, respectively. They received the prizes from
Yong.
