Parents Appreciation Night 2009

KOTA KINABALU, 11 June 2009: The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Wanita Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Labuan Zone would jointly organise “Parents Appreciation Night" this Saturday (13th June 2009) at the Grand Port View Restaurant, here.

Organising Chairperson Priscilla Chong said, the event is expected to be officiated by SAPP President, Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee.

Priscilla who is also Api-Api CLC Wanita Chief said, the event is SAPP’s effort to inculcate amongst the young generation on the need to respect, appreciate the contributions of their parents and also to build a ‘Healthy and Happy Family’.

“This is the 15th year SAPP Wanita Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Labuan Zone are organising the programme which is meaningful and bring lots of benefits," she told a media conference, here, today.

Priscilla said those who had purchased tickets for the event are advised to bring along their parents to make it merrier and meaningful.

She said, SAPP party leaders especially Supreme Council Members are expected to attend the event and mingle around with guests including party members.

According to her, the highlights of the event, among others, the eldest three male and three female would be given goodies as remembrance.

She said lucky couples of the night will also be given hampers apart and lucky draws will be held.

She added that most look-alike contest for mother/father and child will also be held apart from singing and dancing shows.

Meanwhile, Party President’s wife, Datin Seri Panglima Stella Yong and SAPP Wanita Chief YB Melanie Chia are expected to attend the event.

Other party leaders and members are expected to attend as well.
