Kg Tambatuon branch formed
Kota Belud, Aug 24, 2010:
The formation of a new Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) branch in Kg
Tambatuon is seen as a morale booster to the party having inroads into the
outskirts of Sabah's vast and sparsely populated areas.
In pursuit of SAPP's Eight-Point Declaration, the party has embarked on a
mission of empowering the local natives by educating them of their
legitimate rights and support the party's struggle for an autonomous State within Malaysia.
The party's induction course was participated by 30 odd new members at KK
Singkui's residence in Kg Tambatuon of whom the majority were youths.
The course was conducted by SAPP Youth Chief, Edward Dagul,
joined by Hsu Han Chun, representative of CLC kadamaian, Stephen Gaimin, Chairman of the
Solidarity Youth Sabah, Pang Thien Fook, Youth Secretary, James Masaya Kota Marudu's
youth and some youth members from Kota Kinabalu.
With this new branch, the village will now have a political platform to air their grievances and
problems through its branch leaders.
Meanwhile, Sabahtv.net will be producing a documentary video about the village
which will out by next month.
