Kota Kinabalu, Friday, 11 October 2019 : By digging in at the office of the Director of Water Department, the illegal director is digging a bigger hole for the government. Because by defying the High Court declaration on 9 October that the appointment of Director of Water Department is illegal, the government is bringing upon itself even more risks of consequential legal actions arising from the illegal actions of an illegal director.

The proposed total ban on all licensed slot machines without having first put in place an overall strategy to tackle the overall gambling menace in Sabah is reckless because the total ban on licensed slot machines at registered clubs will provide fertile ground for illegal slot machine operators to thrive.
Has the government considered the possibility that there are illegal operators (of slot machines) lurking around to take over the vacuum created by the impending ban on all slot machines?
The proposed Pas Sementara Sabah (PSS) must be called off until and unless the government can give cogent, clear and consistent reasons for introducing the Pass. The government must also state clearly who will be given the Pass and the conditions of the Pass. This is because the unconvincing and confusing announcement of the PSS has caused alarm among the people. The government must not rush into a programme to legalise illegals which can cause worries and dismay among Malaysians.
Returning the 7,200 sq. ft. of land to the Kota Kinabalu Chung Hwa Primary school is the only correct thing to do because the land will benefit Kota Kinabalu people as a whole, especially those residing in down town Kota Kinabalu. On the other hand, SUDC has a lot of other lands all over Sabah that they can develop. SUDC should also pay more attention to their abandoned project known as STAR CITY instead of laying their hands on a meagre 7,200 sq. ft. belonging to a school. KK Chung Hwa School is also a top performing school that deserves the support of the people and the government.
The impending relocation of the national capital of Indonesia from Jakarta to East Kalimantan in Borneo will bring more good than harm to Sabah. In view of the huge impact on the Borneo region, the actions and reactions of the authorities on the Malaysia and Brunei side will pre-occupy the respective governments for years to come.
Another weekend. Another round of violent riots in Hong Kong. The deliberate escalation of violent riots in Hong Kong can no longer be seen in isolation from the bigger war being waged by western forces to continue their global dominance. The ongoing US-China trade war, military posturing and media campaigns serve as the back drop to the current chaos at Hong Kong.
KOTA KINABALU, August 29, 2019: The so-called RM312 million 2019 allocation by the federal government for KK constituency is small as compared to what DAP gave to other states, said SAPP.
Its vice president Gee Tien Siong said that therefore there is nothing to be proud of. Furthermore, most of these projects are in the 11th Malaysia Plan which were approved from before.
“Sabahans and KK folks deserve much more development and progress,” he added, “we Sabahans don’t want to be treated like charity, continuing to rely on peanuts dished out by federal ministers.
Kota Kinabalu City Hall should open up new gardens and parks instead of merely starting a Botanical Garden at Taman Tun Fuad Stephens at Luyang because the fast growing population of Kota Kinabalu needs more parks and open spaces and not merely turning a park into a botanical garden. What Taman Tun Fuad Stephens needs is an upgrading of its park that hundreds of KK residents visit on a daily basis. It is arguable whether it is a wise use of public funds amounting to RM20 million to put a botanical garden in an existing public park.
Kota Kinabalu, Monday, 26 August, 2019: The complete silence from Sabah and federal Dap leaders on their fantastic promises to return to Sabah 50% of the taxes collected in Sabah and the 20% oil royalties is sad news for Sabah because the silence shows that Sabah Dap leaders have given up on these revenue rights. When people are waiting and suffering, Dap should know that “silence is not golden”.
