Likas Assemblyman contributes Fund for school's cabinets

Kota Kinabalu, May 15, 2009: SM Shan Tao Likas now has several filing cabinets to store students' work in the Living Skills subject, thanks to Likas Assemblyman Datuk Liew Teck Chan.

Through his 2008 state assemblyman fund, Liew contributed aid to build 21 metal cabinets for the school.

"This assistance will not be the first and last from me. I promise I will help this school whenever I can," he pledged when unveiling the newly completed cabinets at the school yesterday.

SM Shan Tao principal Lee Wah Ban said the school had sought assistance from Liew to provide a proper filing storage to keep thousands of school projects completed by Form One to Form Three students undertaking the living skills subject which form part of the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) exam.

Living Skills is one of the 13 subject offered by the school for lower secondary students.
