2008 Nov 17 - SAPP's motion rejected

SAPP's motion rejected

Nov 17, 2008 (Mon): Sabah Progressive Party (Sapp)'s motion for debate on the proposed 500 km RM 1.5 billion Kimanis-Bintulu gas pipeline in the State Legislative Assembly and Parliament sittings was rejected.

The party's stand is based on the power of the state to deny access and transit through state land for the trans-shipment of Sabah's gas resources.

The motion for the debate was moved under Standing Order No. 23 (1) of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly. It was handed to state speaker Juhar Mahiriddin by two Sapp members, Liew Teck Chan (Likas) and Melanie Chia (Luyang) yesterday at the State Assembly building.

No further details were given by the State Assembly and the Parliament House......

13hb November, 2008

Yang Berhormat Juhar Hj.Mahiruddin,
Dewan Undangan Negeri Sabah,
Aras 4, Bangunan Dewan Undangan Negeri Sabah,
Peti Surat bil. 11247,
88813 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.

Datuk Speaker,

PERMOHONAN PENANGGUHAN MAJLIS MENGIKUT PERATURAN 23(1)

Terima kasih.

( YB. DATUK LIEW TECK CHAN )
ADUN N. 14 Likas
