SAPP gets warm welcome for Papar folks

Papar, Feb 2, 2010: A warm response from the Papar folks greeted Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Party president and entourage when they made their Chinese New Year visit to the town.

This is the first time that SAPP president Datuk Yong Teck Lee, together with supreme councillors and the Papar CLC committee and members (around 30) organized such a visit in conjunction with the forthcoming Chinese New Year festive season .

Papar folks were pleasantly surprised when the SAPP Chinese New Year wishers also comprised of other local bumiputras who joined the visit greeting them a ¡°Happy and Prosperous Chinese New Year¡±... an example reflecting the party¡¯s concept of a non-racial party.

Among the supreme councilors were Youth Chief Edward Dagul, Assistant Secretary General Foo Fook Ming, Supreme Councillor Jaafar Ismail and Siaw Shui Lan. Edward Dagul is also the CLC chairman for SAPP Pantai Manis and Kawang while Jaafar Ismail is the SAPP Bongawan CLC chairman.

Oil Royalty Warrants Review - Kota Kinabalu (20 November 2008): State Government has been urged to initiate a review of the 1976 Petroleum Agreement between the State and Federal Government with the view to revise the oil royalty from five percent to no less than 20 per cent.
